Safety notice — read before using the Exchange
The Big Red Exchange is a bulletin board for our class community, and nothing more. Plainly stated:
- No payments are processed through this site — ever. Any money changing hands is arranged privately between classmates, at their own discretion and risk.
- The Exchange does not guarantee listings and does not act as buyer, seller, broker, or mediator in any transaction.
- General location only. Listings show a general area (like “West Lansing”) — never a home address. Arrange meetups in safe, public places.
- Every listing is reviewed by class volunteers before publication, and expires automatically after 30 days by default.
Prohibited items
The following may not be listed on the Big Red Exchange:
- Weapons
- Illegal goods of any kind
- Controlled substances and prescription medications
- Alcohol sales
- Counterfeit goods
- Fraudulent financial opportunities
- Unsafe or recalled items
- Adult products
- Anything else prohibited by law
